Scope

This standard specifies the steps for qualitative identification of three types of healds: nylon, ethylene, and polypropylene using specific gravity method, dissolution method, melting point method, and infrared spectroscopy method. This standard is applicable to the qualitative identification of imported and exported nylon (nylon 6), ethylene (polyethylene), and polypropylene (polypropylene) healds.
