- Scope
- This standard applies to motor capacitors intended to be connected to the windings of asynchronous motors supplied by single-phase systems at frequencies up to and including 100 Hz, and to capacitors connected to three-phase asynchronous motors so that such motors can be supplied by single-phase systems. This section applies to impregnated or non-impregnated capacitors. These capacitors use paper, plastic film or both as dielectrics, use metallized or metal foil electrodes, and have a rated voltage of 660V or less. Motor starting capacitors will be included in GB/T 3667.2.
