- Scope
- This standard specifies the characteristics of reading copiers for reading transparent microforms and making hard copies from them. Transparent microforms include microfiche flats, envelopes, video cards, strips and rolls with a maximum width of 35mm. This standard establishes the minimum quality requirements for making hard-copy copies from first-generation microforms or prints of acceptable quality. This standard applies to reading copiers with a magnification ratio less than or equal to 50:1. This standard does not apply to special reading copiers that make color or other special types of copies, nor does it apply to magnifying copiers.
