- This standard specifies the information that manufacturers or suppliers are required to print on different parts of the shipping package of optical disc cartridges, as well as the information printed in the printing area of optical disc cartridges. It also specifies the information to be printed on the disc cartridge label by the manufacturer, supplier or user. This standard specifies additional information to be printed on various parts of the shipping package, or to be included in the shipping package. This standard applies to all sizes and types of writable optical discs (OD), including write-once read-many optical discs (WORM), writable, read-only and partially read-only optical discs, such as magneto-optical (MO) rewritable and A combination of read-only, or a combination of phase-change (PC) rewritable and read-only. This standard does not apply to compact disc (CD) media.
