- Scope
- This standard specifies the general requirements for quality assurance of conventional medical X-ray diagnostic images, the items, technical requirements and testing methods for image quality control and testing of conventional medical X-ray diagnostic equipment. This standard applies to quality control testing of routine medical X-ray diagnostic images. A small portable X-ray machine can be used as a reference. This standard does not apply to quality control testing of computed tomography (CT), digital subtraction angiography (DSA), mammography and dental machines. It is also not suitable for quality control testing in the production process of conventional medical X-ray diagnostic equipment. Part of this standard applies to quality control testing of computed radiography (CR) and digital radiography (DR); other parts of this standard do not apply to CR and DR.
