- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic regulations, gas stations and facilities, gas metal pipelines, electrical systems and electronic systems for urban gas lightning protection. This standard is applicable to the lightning protection design and construction of new construction, reconstruction and expansion of urban gas systems. The lightning protection of exis ing urban gas systems can be implemented as a reference. This standard does not apply to the design of gas installations on ocean and inland river ships, railway vehicles, automobiles and other transportation vehicles.
