- Scope
- 1.1 This standard specifies a method for determining the diluted gasoline content in in-use gasoline engine oil by gas chromatography. 1.2 There is no limit on the diluted gasoline content range of the tested sample, as long as the sample and internal standard content are within the detection range of the gas chromatograph. 1.3 This standard limit adopts a gas chromatograph equipped with a hydrogen flame detector and a temperature-programmed function. 1.4 For gelled gasoline engine oil, this standard has not yet conducted sufficient investigations on its repeatability and reproducibility to confirm its feasibility. Gelled gasoline engine oil refers to oil that is denatured under static conditions, but can regain its fluidity under gentle stirring. 1.5 This standard uses International System of Units (SI) units. 1.6 This standard involves certain safety is ues related to the use of the standard. However, it is not intended to provide advice on all safety is ues. Therefore, users should establis appropriate safety and protective measures and determine an applicable management system before using this standard.
