- This standard specifies the high-performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of glucose, fructose, and sucrose in tobacco and tobacco products. This standard is applicable to the determination of glucose, fructose and sucrose in tobacco and tobacco products. The detection limits of this method for determining the contents of glucose, fructose and sucrose in tobacco and tobacco products are: 0.005%, 0.006% and 0.002% respectively, and the limits of quantitation are: 0.16%, 0.020% and 0.007% respectively.
