- According to the Urban and Rural Planning Law of the People's Republic of China, this standard is formulated for the purpose of coordinating urban and rural development, intensive, economical, scientific and rational use of land resources. This standard is applicable to the preparation of overall planning and regulatory detailed planning, land use statistics and land use management of cities and towns where the people's governments of counties are located and other qualified towns. In addition to this standard, the preparation of the city (town) overall plan and regulatory detailed plan should also comply with the current relevant national standards.
