- This standard specifies the raw materials and technical requirements, scope of application, methods of use, inspection methods, signs, packaging, transportation, storage, labels, instructions and precautions of guanidine-based disinfectants. This standard applies to disinfectants that use chlorhexidine acetate, chlorhexidine gluconate or polyhexamethylene biguanide as the bactericidal component, and ethanol and (or) water as the solvent. This standard does not apply to compound disinfectants composed of other bactericidal ingredients and guanidines.
