- This part of YY/T 0818 is intended to guide the production and processing of silicone elastomers, gels and foams. This section does not provide information about silicone powders, liquids, pressure-sensitive adhesives, or other types of silicone products. This section provides information to guide the user in selecting appropriate conditions for processing medical devices for specific uses. Part 1 of this section covers formulations and selection of suitable raw materials. This section only covers the curing, secondary vulcanization and processing of silicone elastomers, gels and foams, and how to evaluate the finished product.
