- This standard specifies the dose calculation accuracy requirements and test methods for radiotherapy treatment planning systems (hereinafter referred to as RTPS). This standard applies to RTPS with dose calculation and display functions for medical high-energy X-rays (4MV~25MV) and Coγ-ray teletherapy photon radiation. This standard does not apply to radiation treatment planning systems used in stereotactic radiotherapy, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), or other specialized radiotherapy techniques, but developers are encouraged to apply this standard in their development and use as a way to validate dose calculation algorithms. Guideline. The test data packages in this standard cannot be used for clinical treatment plan design.
