This standard specifies a method for the determination of the moisture content in polyethylene by the Karl Fischer coulometric method which differs from the water absorption determined in accordance with ISO 62. This standard is applicable to the determination of moisture content in polyethylene particles and also to the determination of moisture content in polyethylene products. This method is suitable for determination of moisture content levels up to 0.01% or less.
