Scope
This standard specifies the coding specifications for the use of Chinese domain names on the Internet system, stipulates the preprocessing requirements for using Chinese domain name fields, and specifies the use of punycode for encoding. This standard applies to domain name registration agencies at all levels, domain name registration service providers and software manufacturers developing applications or services that support Chinese domain names.
