- This standard specifies the calculation method for the basic dynamic load rating of rolling bearings, which is applicable to those whose size range conforms to the relevant standards, is made of high-quality hardened bearing steel commonly used in contemporary times, is manufactured according to good processing methods, and the shape of the rolling contact surface is basically conventionally designed. rolling bearings. This standard also specifies the calculation method of the basic rating life, which is the life related to 90% reliability, commonly used high-quality materials and good processing quality, and normal operating conditions. In addition, this standard specifies a method for calculating the corrected rating life taking into account different reliability levels, lubrication conditions, contaminated lubricants and bearing fatigue loads. This standard does not cover the effects of wear, corrosion and galvanic erosion on bearing life. This standard does not apply to constructions in which the rolling elements run directly on the shaft or housing surface, unless that surface is equivalent in all respects to the bearing ring (or washer) raceway. Double row radial bearings and double direction thrust bearings in this standard are assumed to be symmetrical structures. Other restrictive conditions related to various types of bearings are described in relevant clauses.
