GB/T 5559-2010 Non-ionic surface active agents obtained from ethylene oxide and ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block copolymers.Determination of cloud point (English Version)
This standard specifies five methods for determining the cloud point of nonionic surfactants. Methods A, B and C are mainly applicable to non-ionic surfactants without oxypropylene groups derived from the condensation of ethylene oxide and lipophilic substances. The choice of method A, B or C depends on the temperature at which the aqueous solution of the product under test becomes turbid. Methods D and E are intended for products to which methods A, B, and C are not applicable, and shall be adopted after the agreement of the parties concerned. Such products include hybrid nonionic surfactants such as those derived from ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block copolymers. The choice of method D and E depends on the temperature at which the acidic aqueous solution of the tested product becomes turbid. However, Method E does not apply to products derived from fatty acids or fatty acid esters.
