Scope

This standard specifies the X-ray fluorescence analysis method for the determination of cobalt, chromium, iron, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, niobium, tantalum, titanium, tungsten, vanadium and zirconium in carbides and hard alloys. This standard applies to carbides of niobium, tantalum, titanium, tungsten, vanadium and zirconium. This standard also applies to mixtures of these carbides and binder metals. This standard also applies to pre-sintered and sintered cemented carbides of all grades made of these carbides.
