- Scope
- This standard specifies the main characteristic parameters of the voltage of the electric traction power supply system, such as the voltage characteristic parameters of the electric traction ground installations (including various auxiliary equipment powered by catenary) and rolling stock (including EMUs). This standard applies to the following scopes: railways; urban rail transit, such as subway vehicles, light rail vehicles, trolleybuses, trams, and low-speed maglev vehicles; electrified transportation for industrial and mining enterprises (including underground roadway transportation); this standard does not apply to the following scopes: Lifting equipment on rails, transfer platforms and similar transport equipment, temporary structures (such as exhibition structures), which are not endangered by traction power supply systems because they are not supplied directly by catenary or via transformers; cable cars.
