Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods and acceptance rules of electronic infrared imaging human surface thermometers. This standard applies to products such as electronic infrared imaging human body surface thermometers (hereinafter referred to as thermometers) that measure the surface temperature of the human body in a non-contact manner.
