- This code is applicable to the seismic design, seismic isolation, energy dissipation and shock absorption design of construction projects in areas with seismic fortification intensity of 6, 7, 8 and 9 degrees. The performance-based seismic design of buildings can adopt the basic methods specified in this code. The seismic design of buildings in areas with seismic fortification intensity greater than 9 degrees and industrial buildings with special requirements shall be implemented in accordance with relevant special regulations.
