- 1.1 This standard specifies a method for determining the fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) content and the methyl linolenate content in biodiesel used as pure biofuel or as a diesel fuel blending component. 1.2 This standard is used to determine the total content of fatty acid methyl esters with a mass fraction greater than 90%. The determination range of the mass fraction of methyl linolenate is 1% to 15%. 1.3 This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of fatty acid methyl esters from C to C.
