Scope

Recommendation J.111 "Network independent protocols for interactive systems" specifies some characteristics for the modems to be used for the delivery of data services over digital television cable. This Recommendation recommends some performance indicators to be used to evaluate the performance of those modems in a hybrid fibrekoax (HFC) cable television network in the presence of continuous or impulsive noise.
