This standard specifies how to determine the loss on heating, which is one of the additional characteristics of carbon black for rubber (hereinafter referred to as carbon black), which is used as a compounding agent for raw materials in the rubber industry. The loss on heating is mainly due to the loss of water, but also due to the loss of some other volatile substances. The method specified here cannot be applied to carbon black to which volatile substances have been added.
