Scope

This standard applies to polyethylene pipes (hereinafter referred to as pipes) that comply with JIS K 6774 used for the supply of city gas and liquefied petroleum gas, and filter polyethylene pipe fittings (hereinafter referred to as pipes) that comply with JIS K 6775-1 and JIS K 6775-3. This specification specifies the physical properties of the svigot joint (hereinafter referred to as the joint), the general properties of the joint material, and the dimensions and performance of the joint.
