Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for a pen-type* syringe (hereinafter referred to as a pen-type syringe) that is equipped with a dedicated syringe needle and a cartridge filled with pharmaceutical products (replaceable) or pre-installed (non-replaceable). The test method shall be specified. However, high-pressure syringes and electric syringes are excluded.
