This standard aims to remove stones from the urinary tract, remove residual stones after stone fragmentation using extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL), prevent stone movement during stone fragmentation, and remove foreign bodies from the urinary tract. This article specifies the requirements for catheters for removing urinary stones and foreign bodies (hereinafter referred to as catheters) that are temporarily inserted into the body.
