- Scope
- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of sodium fatty acid methyl ester sulfonate (MES for short). This standard applies to MES produced from single carbon chain or mixed carbon chain fatty acid methyl esters with carbon chains C to C through sulfur trioxide sulfonation, re-esterification, decolorization, neutralization and other processes.
