Scope

This standard specifies equations for predicting the flow of compressible and incompressible fluids through control valves. The incompressible fluid equations are based on the basic hydraulic equations for incompressible Newtonian fluids. These equations do not apply to non-Newtonian fluids, mixed fluids, slurries or solid-liquid transport systems.
