- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of urea-formaldehyde slow-release fertilizers. This standard applies to organic slightly soluble nitrogen slow-release fertilizers prepared by the reaction of urea and aldehydes under certain conditions. The main varieties are urea-formaldehyde (UF/MU), isobutylidene diurea (IBDU) and butylidene diurea. Urea (CDU). This standard also applies to compound fertilizers or blended fertilizers containing urea-formaldehyde slow-release fertilizers.
