This standard specifies the scope of application, terminology, technical requirements, tests, signs and safety requirements of voltage equalizing capacitors used in high-voltage AC circuit breakers. This standard applies to voltage equalizing capacitors that are connected in parallel to the fractures of high-voltage AC circuit breakers to improve voltage distribution and reduce the rate of recovery voltage rise. Not suitable for high voltage ceramic capacitors.
