WARNING: The application of GB/T 16781 may involve hazardous substances and their operation and equipment. However, GB/T 16781 does not describe all safety issues related to its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this section to institute appropriate safety and health practices and to determine the suitability or scope of application prior to use. This part specifies the method for the determination of mercury content in pipeline natural gas by gold-platinum (Au/Pt) alloy amalgamation sampling method. This method is suitable for sampling crude natural gas without condensate products. This method is suitable for the determination of mercury content in the range of 0.01μg/m3~100μg/m3 in natural gas under atmospheric pressure and the determination of 0.001μg/min natural gas under high pressure (up to 8MPa). 3 Determination of mercury content in the range of ~1μg/m3. The collected amount is determined by measuring the absorbance or fluorescence of mercury vapor at a wavelength of 253.7 mm.
