- This standard specifies the terminology, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, supply scope, etc. of marine diesel generator sets (hereinafter referred to as "units"). This standard is applicable to units for main power supply and emergency power supply of ships, but not for shaft generators, intermediate frequency, power frequency single-phase AC and dual-frequency output units.
