Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for the thickness, corrosion resistance, and mechanical and physical properties of non-electrolytically treated zinc flake coatings for steel fasteners with metric threads. This standard applies to both chromate-containing and non-chromate-containing products. The coating according to this standard also applies to steel screws that form their own internal threads, such as wood screws, self-tapping screws, drill screws, and thread rolling screws, and also applies to screws that form internal threads themselves, such as washers and pins. It may also be applied to steel parts that do not have This coating may also be applied to steel fasteners with other types of threads.
