- This outline is applicable to the type evaluation of functional electric energy meters (hereinafter referred to as meters) such as single-phase and three-phase multi-function electric energy meters, prepaid electric energy meters and multi-rate electric energy meters with a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz. This syllabus does not apply to instruments, portable instruments, data interfaces of meter scales and standard instruments with terminal voltages exceeding 600 V (line-to-line voltage for polyphase instruments). For rack-mounted instruments, this section does not cover their mechanical properties.
