Scope: This standard specifies the energy efficiency grades, energy efficiency limit values, target energy efficiency limit values, energy conservation evaluation values and test methods for heating furnaces used in the petroleum industry. This standard is applicable to heating furnaces used in the petroleum industry that use gas or liquid (oil) energy as fuel and whose rated heat load is within the range of 40 kW-12 000 kW used in onshore oil and gas fields and long-distance pipelines at altitudes below 3 500 m. Hereinafter referred to as heating furnace). This standard does not apply to heating furnaces fueled by solid energy.
