The ITU Radiocommunication Assembly considering that, to enable the production staff to reliably judge whether their creative intent is correctly reflected in the production of programmes, it is essential that displays in television production and control rooms where picture balancing and matching is performed, should display programme material in a reliable and consistent way; that audience preferences in the appearance of television pictures displayed on their home.
