1.1 This standard specifies the selection of dosimeter materials, dosimeter preparation, instrumentation and dose measurement procedures involved in the use of alanine-EPR dosimetry systems to determine the absorbed dose in irradiated materials under photon and electron irradiation. The system relies on the measurement of amino acid-derived free radicals in alanine using an electron paramagnetic resonance spectrometer. This system is designated as a reference standard dose system (see GB/T 16640). 1.2 This standard applies to alanine-EPR dose measurement systems that measure absorbed dose under the following conditions: 1.2.1 Absorbed dose range: 1 Gy ~ 1OGy. 1.2.2 Absorbed dose rate: ≤lOGy·S (continuous radiation field) ≤5×10Gy·s (pulse radiation field). 1.2.3 Radiation energy range: 0.1 MeV~28 MeVu. 1.2.4 Irradiation temperature range:
——60℃~90℃. 1.3 The values given in the International System of Units are used as standard values, and the values in parentheses are for reference only. 1.4 This standard does not involve safety issues related to use. Users of this standard are responsible for establishing applicable safety and health standards and determining the applicable limitations prior to use.
