This standard specifies a rapid microbiological screening method for whether imported and exported foods have been irradiated. This standard is applicable to the rapid screening of whether frozen poultry, stored meat, aquatic products and other fresh foods have been irradiated. This standard is applicable to the screening of foods that may have been irradiated from the above-mentioned foods, but it does not exclude that the food has been processed by other sterilization methods that do not destroy endotoxins in the food.
