This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation, storage and shelf life of the food additive caproic acid. This standard is applicable to the analysis and evaluation of the quality of the food additive caproic acid obtained by oxidation of secondary octanol (octanol-2) or separated from low carbon fatty acids.
