Scope

This standard specifies methods for closed transportation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) on ships. A method of measuring liquid level using a liquid level gauge, measuring the temperature of liquid and vapor using a thermometer, and measuring vapor pressure in a cargo tank using a pressure gauge. This section applies to tank inspection and identification of shipborne liquefied natural gas.
