Scope

This International Standard specifies the structure of the Metadata Registry (see 1.1). This International Standard specifies the basic attributes that are necessary to describe metadata items and that may be used in situations where a complete metadata registry is not compatible (e.g., in the specifications of other International Standards). (see 1.2).
