- Scope
- This standard specifies the Nessler reagent spectrophotometric method for the determination of ammonia nitrogen in water. This standard is applicable to the determination of ammonia nitrogen in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. When the water sample volume is 50ml and a 20mm cuvette is used, the detection limit of this method is 0.025mg/L, the lower limit of determination is 0.10mg/L, and the upper limit of determination is 2.0mg/L (all in N).
