- Scope
- This standard specifies the Nessler reagent spectrophotometric method for the determination of ammonia in ambient air and industrial waste gases. This standard is applicable to the determination of ammonia in ambient air, as well as the determination of ammonia in waste gases from pharmaceutical, chemical, coking and other industrial industries. The detection limit of this standard method is 0.5μg/10ml absorption solution. When the volume of the absorption liquid is 50ml and the gas is collected from 10L, the detection limit of ammonia is 0.25mg/m, the lower limit of determination is 1.0mg/m, and the upper limit of determination is 20mg/m. When the volume of the absorption liquid is 10 ml and the gas sampling is 45 L, the detection limit of ammonia is 0.01 mg/m, the lower limit of determination is 0.04 mg/m, and the upper limit of determination is 0.88 mg/m.
