- This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and safety requirements for sodium borohydride products. This standard applies to sodium borohydride produced from sodium hydride and methyl borate as raw materials. This product is mainly used as a reducing agent in the manufacture of potassium borohydride and in the production of pharmaceutical intermediates, pesticides, fragrances and other fine chemical products. It can also be used in papermaking bleaching, mercury-containing wastewater treatment and precious metal recycling.
