Scope

This part of GB/T 24818 determines the special requirements for the access and safety protection of cranes defined in GB/T 6974.3. GB/T 24818.1 specifies the general requirements for access to consoles and other areas during normal operation, maintenance, inspection, installation and dismantling of cranes as defined in GB/T 6974.1. The general rules also refer to the safety protection facilities of the crane to prevent people on and around the crane from being injured by moving parts, falling objects or rotating parts.
