Scope
This standard specifies the 4-aminoantipyrine spectrophotometric method for the determination of volatile phenols in surface water, groundwater, drinking water, industrial wastewater and domestic sewage. Surface water, groundwater and drinking water should be measured by extraction spectrophotometry. The detection limit is 0.0003mg/L, the lower limit of determination is 0.001mg/L, and the upper limit of determination is 0.04mg/L. Industrial wastewater and domestic sewage should be measured by direct spectrophotometry. The detection limit is 0.01 mg/L, the lower limit of determination is 0.04 mg/L, and the upper limit of determination is 2.50 mg/L. For samples with a mass concentration higher than the upper limit of the standard determination, they can be measured after appropriate dilution.
