Scope
This standard specifies the 3,5-Br-PADAP ([2-(3,5)-dibromo-2-pyridylazo]-5-diethylaminophenol) spectrophotometric method for the determination of silver in water and wastewater. This standard is applicable to the determination of silver in silver-contaminated surface water and wastewater from photosensitive material production, film development, silver plating, smelting and other industries. When the sample volume is 25ml and a cuvette with an optical path of 10mm is used, the detection limit of this method is 0.02mg/L, the lower limit of determination is 0.08mg/L, and the upper limit of determination is 1.0mg/L.
