This standard specifies the tetrachloromercuric salt absorption-pararosaniline spectrophotometric method for the determination of sulfur dioxide in ambient air. This standard applies to the determination of sulfur dioxide in ambient air. When using 5ml of absorption liquid and the sampling volume is 30L, the detection limit of sulfur dioxide in the air is 0.005mg/m, the lower limit of determination is 0.020mg/m, and the upper limit of determination is 0.18g/m. When 50ml of absorbing liquid is used and the sampling volume is 288L, the detection limit of sulfur dioxide in the air is 0.005mg/m, the lower limit of determination is 0.020mg/m, and the upper limit of determination is 0.19mg/m.
