This standard specifies the formaldehyde absorption-pararosaniline spectrophotometric method for the determination of sulfur dioxide in ambient air. This standard applies to the determination of sulfur dioxide in ambient air. When 10ml of absorbing liquid is used and the sampling volume is 30L, the detection limit of sulfur dioxide in the air is 0.007mg/m, the lower limit of determination is 0.028mg/m, and the upper limit of determination is 0.667mg/m. When 50ml of absorbing liquid is used, the sampling volume is 288L, and the sample is 10ml, the detection limit of sulfur dioxide in the air is 0.004mg/m, the lower limit of determination is 0.014mg/m, and the upper limit of determination is 0.347mg/m.
