This standard specifies a spectrophotometric method for the determination of nitrogen oxides in ambient air. This standard is applicable to the determination of nitrogen oxides, nitrogen dioxide, and nitric oxide in ambient air. The detection limit of this standard method is 0.12μg/10ml absorption solution. When the total volume of the absorption liquid is 10ml and the sampling volume is 24L, the detection limit of nitrogen oxides in the air is 0.005mg/m. When the total volume of the absorption liquid is 50ml and the sampling volume is 288L, the detection limit of nitrogen oxides in the air is 0.003 mg/m. When the total volume of the absorbing liquid is 10ml and the sampling volume is 12~24L, the measurement range of nitrogen oxides in ambient air is 0.020~2.5mg/m.
